Originally written for a CMT Music documentary that required a “Guitar Army” feel, the song was inspired while traveling the Rocky Mountains where I discovered this lake I used to hang out at as a teenager in Upstate New York.

Telling old jokes and skipping rocks
Drinking beer at the end of the docks

When the sun set then we’d build a fire
